The real life Mowgli- Dina Sanichar.
We may all love the character Mowgli from the world famous novel ''The Jungle Book'' written by Rudyard Kipling. But do you know that a real life Mowgli does exists, strange isn't it ? Meet Dina Sanichar who was adopted and raised by the pack of wolves in the same vein Mowgli's character from The Jungle Book. But Dina Sanichar's life was quite different from Mowgli's life. Unlike Mowgli, Dina Sanichar didn't live a vivacious and voluntarines life but actually he lived a fierceful life.
Many of us are unaware of real life Mowgli's character which was inspired by Dina Sanichar, so here I have endeavour to write this blog, to make certain people aware of his awful life.
In 1872, a group of hunters found a six year old boy with a burden of wolves in the forest of Bulandshahr district, Uttar Pradesh. The hunters were stunned because the boy was walking with his four limbs instead of two. The six year old boy who was feral because he was adopted and raised by the wolves.Subsequently, the hunters smoked the caves and killed all the wolves who raised him and vigorously took him to an orphanage near Agra, Uttar Pradesh. There he was named as Dina Sanichar. Sanichar means Saturday in Urdu because it was on that day he arrived at that orphanage.
Father Erhardt, who was the head of the orphanage, had noted that he had struggled a lot. ''He could not talk and he used to walk on his four limbs. He sharpened his teeth by nibbling on bones like an animal and he always preferred to eat only raw food over cooked food. And father Erhardt also mentioned that even though the boy was absolutely imbecile he nevertheless indicated symptoms or motive and on occasion real shrewdness.
Eventually, Sanichar learned to walk on feet, but he still preferred to be naked rather than wearing clothes. Even though people around him tried multiple attempts to make him speak, He never learned to speak even a single word. He communicated by making some weird animal noises which was so bangarang.
Besides, Dina Sanichar finally showed some improvements in his life. He was able to eat from the plate but still he always sniffed the food like an animal before eating. He was able to stand with his feet and could also walk. Miraculously he learned to dressed properly.
The people around him tried, all attempts to give him a bath failed because he loathed water. Therefore he often smelled like a wild animal.
Despite living among humans for almost a decade he couldn't make even a single friend. But apparently in the orphanage, there was a dog, that befriended him and also lived with him. who was also lived with him. Since both were from the wild Dina Sanichar was able to became friend with the dog. Father Erhardt noted that a strange bond of sympathy attached these two together and the elder one first taught the younger to drink out of a cup.
After spending the first 6 years of his life living with the animals, it was impossible for him to rewire his brain like a normal being and couldn't build any habit, but the only habit which Dina Sanichar was able to build was smoking, smoking was the only thing which he learned from human society. And later he became a chain smoker.
The death of Dina Sanichar.
