Hidden facts about Swami Vivekananda.
A ball of light soon incarnated on a house in Kolkata. This child, born on January 12, 1863, was none other than Swami Vivekananda.
Swami Vivekananda a name that doesn't need any sort of introduction. As we all know he was a pride and important personalities of India.
There is no question that the teachings of Swami Vivekananda inspired not only young youth of India, but the entire world as well.
On this birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda which is solemnize as youth day, I have wrote some hidden, unknown facts about Swami Vivekananda which you probably not aware of.
- The real name of Swami Vivekananda was Narendra Nath Datta.
- Swami Vivekananda's father died suddenly when he was just 21. This created the financial compensation of his family and had to struggle to get a meal a day. For food Swamiji often used to ask for job from door to door so that his family can have enough foods. And sometime he use to lie with his mother about lunch invitation from his close one. But in reality there were no such invitations, he just simply gets out of the house so that his family member could eat his share of food.
- Swami Vivekananda use to smoke cheroot in front of the elders. It is said that he was so arrogant, indiscipline guy and he was literally proud of himself because he was a BA degree holder.
- After being unemployed for so long his trust toward god had become less and he turned into an atheist
- Swami Vivekananda's sister Jogendrabala had committed suicide

- According to the Bengali writer Shankar, who wrote the book called ''The ''Monk as Man'' , Swami Vivekananda had suffered from 31 diseases like insomnia, liver, diabetes, heart and kidney diseases and he also suffered from asthma with 31 health problems that he faced in the course of his life.
- After the death of his parental uncle Taraknath. Swami Vivekananda along with his family were thrown out from an ancestral house by his wife Gyandasundari.
- Swamiji used to borrow books from the library and returned them the next day. The librarian doubted whether or not he was actually reading the books. So by asking questions from a random page of the books, the librarian checked him. Swamiji appropriately replied them and even quoted lines from the same page as well. This shows that he had an amazing concentration power.
- Even though Swami Vivekananda was known for his intelligence, he scored merely 47% in Bachelor of Arts exams.
- In America, his incredible power of focus was also demonstrated. He was sitting by a water body in America when he saw two young American guys trying to shoot water-floating egg shells. When they saw Vivekananda smirking, the boys failed in any attempt. They got upset and asked Vivekananda to try it. Amazingly enough, Vivekananda shot 12 times and he managed to reach his target every time he could.

- Swami Vivekananda was introduced with the ''Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa'' by his English professors when he became an atheist.
- During the preparatory days of learning Swami Vivekananda never totally trusted his guru Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. He questioned on him several times until he finally got all of his answers.
- Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa cleared all doubt on on young Swami Vivekananda's life and showed him the clarity of spirituality
- There is nothing wrong if we say Swami Vivekananda was nothing without Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.
- After meeting with Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, he started worshiped women and even though he respects and worship women he never allow women to enter in his monastery not even his mother.
- Shri Ramakrishna died on 16th August 1886. After the death guru Ramakrishna, Vivekananda took the responsibility to established the Ramakrishna mission.
- Swami Vivekananda had predicted about his death that he wouldn't leave beyond 40, and he was right is died at the age of 39 ( July 4, 1902).But according to his disciples Vivekananda attained mahasamādhi (deep meditation) ; the collapse of a blood vessel in his brain was identified as a potential cause of death.

- Before Swami Vivekananda undertake mahasamadhi, he had written a note for his adorable western adherent that., “It may be that I shall find it good to get outside my body, to cast it off like a worn out garment. But I shall not cease to work. I shall inspire men everywhere until the whole world shall know that it is one with God.”
